An open letter to Lenox’s town manager

It isn’t often that we have the opportunity to wish one of our own well as they venture forward.

We did – with our combined best wishes.

At least we (collectively) gave Gregory T. Federspiel, town manager, a good send-off.

I think the Flag Day (June 14) aspect turned out well. The weather cooperated.

I am hopeful that Greg, on reflection, found the sentiments honest and truthful: He will be missed!

I think we wished him well. He’ll have good memories of his time in Lenox, as he should.

And beyond this, the Lenox Library is a hallmark in our downtown historic area. The ringing of the bell by Greg was beautiful both in substance and in sound.

It all came together:  Lenox Memorial High and Middle School Band, VFW color guard, elected leaders, town personnel and our newspaper staff.

Thanks again, Greg, for your commitment and good service.
