Emotion commotion meets magic

Okay, ladies, it’s time have a little fun, so let’s engage in our womanly intuitions and do a bit of soul searching. I know in the past weeks I’ve been more than honest to you, as I said I will always be. We’re keeping it real, remember?

And if you ever feel the need to write and tell me anything on your mind, then do so. I’m here and you can even comment on any of my columns online where you’ll find the uncut versions of our stories.

Wow, did I have an incredible experience last week, as I saw a psychic. Oh, sure, I have had friends who have read my cards in the past, but this was a professional and we just happened to be in the right place at the right time, kindred spirits destined to meet. She is amazing!

The week prior to seeing Liz (my psychic – wow, never thought I’d be saying that) was one of much introspection, you know, contemplating where my life was going from here and how I was going to deal with those issues and emotions one just can’t ignore.

How does one truly follow their dreams with two young impressionable girls and a husband?

I can’t just run off to a New York publishing house in a flash. We all have those moments, right? Moments when you just need to get out of your car as nature awaits you with all its wonder and power; where you can walk, run, cry, scream and mainly think – which I often do, and too much, mind you.

It’s a great visual, right of some mad woman running from her car to flee her own reality.

I escaped to a place reminiscent of my childhood where bridges of tall trees once again welcomed me, and curious chipmunks followed, popping their heads out from under the brush along side the road, birds sang, wildflowers grew and a mild wind swirled under an indigo sky.

There the dirt path led me right into the codling arms of lovely wilderness where thoughts flowed quite well upon a weathered bench.

As Jane Austen once said, “To sit in the shade on a fine day and look upon verdure is the most perfect refreshment.”

Thank goodness there were no bears or coyotes on the path – I could just see the news print the next day, “Woman attacked by ferocious wild beast on her lunch break.” These are the things I think of.

Anyway, it was serendipitous as Liz called the paper and the next day I’m walking through an opulent red door as tarot cards are spread out in front of me, and there on that blue velvet table, one by one, my fate came down.

Let me just say there were no coincidences in this meeting and everything said in that room, everything from my past and family to relationships, sex and my career seen was implicitly correct, and I was beguiled anyone could possess such a gift.

She sent me home with meditation bath salts, for which I finally found a time to actually experience, of course my youngest daughter kept quietly coming in to check on me because you can drown in a bath tub.

She’s got such a great little heart (my flower) and she wouldn’t go to sleep until I was out.
