BIFF calls for films

GREAT BARRINGTON – The 2013 Berkshire International Film Festival (BIFF) has announced that the call for submissions is now open for feature, documentary and short films.

The submission deadline is March 1, 2013. Selected films will be chosen by the end of March and announced in April.

The festival will be held May 30-June 2, 2013 at the Triplex Cinema, the historical Mahaiwe Theatre, the Beacon Cinema and other venues throughout Great Barrington and Pittsfield.

The 2013 festival will mark the eighth annual event and plans to showcase nearly 75 of the best films that are currently being produced in independent filmmaking. The festival will once again feature an audience award and a juried prize for documentary and narrative feature films sponsored by GWFF. The juried prize will carry a $5,000 cash award.

Passes for the 2013 Festival will go on sale Nov. 1 and may be purchased through the website at biffma.org.
