PITTSFIELD – The Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum’s gigantic fall book sale kicks off tonight (Nov. 15) from 5-8 p.m. for Friends only.
It will be held in the auditorium of the Berkshire Athenaeum, at 1 Wendell Ave.
Here’s the good news: You can join the Friends, an organization that raises money to help the library, at the door and get into the sale tonight.
Plus, if you are looking for a unique holiday gift for someone who has almost everything, you can buy a gift membership to the Friends tonight, too.
The sale will also be held (and open to the public) Friday and Saturday (Nov. 16-17) with hours each day from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
There will be dozens of hard cover books in excellent condition, suitable for gift-giving this Christmas.
In addition, there will be many Christmas and holiday books for sale. So if you are looking for a book on how to make a special wreath or prepare a holiday open house buffet, chances are you will find books at this sale on how to do both.
Hard covers and paperback books will be for sale in such categories as architecture, art, children’s books, classics, cookbooks, crafts, how to’s, memoirs, psychology, science, self-help and many more.
Are you in the market for Christmas music on CDs? There will be many of those for sale, too, along with audio books, DVDs, pamphlets, records, tapes and much more.
