PITTSFIELD – Recently four Miss Hall’s School athletes were named to soccer and volleyball all-star teams.
Sophie Bellemare, of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., and senior Megan Newton, of Lanesborough, were chosen as all-stars for the Women’s Western New England Prep School Soccer Association (WWNEPSSA).
Junior Lianna Brown, of Pelham, N.Y., and senior Lauren Seelig, of Tarzana, Calif., were named among this year’s all-stars for the Western New England Prep School Volleyball Association (WNEPSVA).
Bellemare, making her second consecutive all-star appearance, is a three-year varsity starter who split time this season playing forward and central midfield for the Hurricanes.
Newton, a three-year varsity starter and team captain for two years, earned her all-star nomination after switching this year to the goaltender’s position, where she provided strong defensive leadership.
Brown, one of the MHS volleyball team’s tri-captains, is a three-year varsity starter who primarily played the “outside hitter” position, helping pace the Hurricanes’ offensive attack.
Seelig, another team captain and four-year varsity player, is a three-year starter who saw the bulk of her playing time this season as a defensive specialist for the MHS squad.
