The Berkshire Beacon looks forward to its third year of publishing this May with many stories, pictures and a full set of advertisers both old and new.
We think we have an editorial package with good content, pictures and now a distribution system to serve Berkshire County.
We ask you our loyal readers to help “drum” the news The Beacon is “First with the News” and always ready to accept your advertising dollars.
We are on many publicity personnels’ contact sheets. We have come a long way. Yes, we are more than Lenox, but admittedly, Lenox has been full of news of late.
We want to get coverage of northern Berkshire County, including Adams, North Adams and Williamstown.
We want to get some more information from Pittsfield’s City Hall and the development of the old General Electric campus from Pittsfield Economic Development Agency (PEDA) and many of the neighborhood stories that occur daily.
From the trade area of Lee to the historic village of Stockbridge to the community-at-large of Great Barrington, there are a number of changes and goodwill stories that meet our goals of inclusion.
While there are many townships in the outlaying area, it is always fun to travel the backroads for a story, take a picture and perhaps have a cup of coffee.
How else does one get to know thy neighbor? As I said originally, we are looking for stringers from each of the 32 cities and towns in Berkshire County. Join us and be part of the Beacon community.
So, in this vain, the Beacon staff wishes one and all a Happy New(s) Year.
