LMMHS to host forum on online safety and tools

LENOX – The schools are looking to broadcast the benefits and the drawbacks to going online in this day and age.

On Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 6:30 p.m. in Lenox Memorial Middle and High School’s Duffin Theater, there will be a forum titled “Lenox Online… What Every Parent Needs to Know.”

A release from Lenox Public Schools states, “These presentations will equip parents with the knowledge and understanding about their child’s online activities.”

The event will start with a presentation from Rob Kinzer of the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office on online safety for parents in regard to social networking, online games, chat sessions, ghost pages and other issues.

Following Mr. Kinzer’s presentation, the LMMHS guidance department will hold an orientation for parents on submitting college applications online through Naviance software.

The forum is for adults only.
