Forecasting fashion passion

Are you in heat this season yet and ready to hit the catwalk?

Well, girls, let’s take the sizzling looks for spring/summer from each of the biggest fashion forward cities – New York, Paris, London and Milan – and showcase them right here for your sense of joie de vivre. And maybe a little too much…

Because we all know the only way to truly bask in those radiant moments in life is wearing just the right ensemble. You’re going to a rocking party? What are you going to wear? Hot date – and you’re wearing what to drop him to his knees?

Wedding to attend? We don’t want to outshine the bride, but why not shine?

Scrubbing the bathroom tile? Like we care, just seeing if you’re still with me.

Looking good is part of feeling good, and it all stems from F-A-S-H-I-O-N.

We better get moving if we are going to travel the globe.

Starting with – hello, bright lights, big New York City!

And the trend report is as follows: With top designers such as Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta, Alberta Feretti, Calvin Klein, Vera Wang, Ralph Lauren, Altuzarra, Marchesa, Victoria Beckham, Donna Karan and Carolina Herrera, the word is out from electric brights to black and whites, to sexy bedroom eyes, leather and lace.

Luxe hides make us incredibly touchable and lots of lines with some graphic prints add just the right pizazz. Take a risk wearing the newest glow-in-the-dark shoes by Alexander Wang – very hip, and they won’t miss you coming!

Next, the Eiffel Tower is in our midst: bonjour, Paris! Monochrome checks are the big news, and the bigger and bolder the motif, the better. Designer Stella McCartney says to stream line your spring and summer with a bomber jacket piece, oversized white shirts and lady-like chic hand totes.

We aren’t in Japan, but how enchanting are those weeping cherry trees? From Prada, Etro, Christopher Kane and Emilio Pucci come Japenese silhouettes and oriental blossoms.

And for a bit of sophistication, try a white tuxedo jacket by Christian Dior and Jean-Pierre Braganza.

Skinny trousers, anyone? Try pair from Balmain and Acne.

Speaking of that special date, it’s all about flashing a bit of skin with split-front skirts by Preen and Alexander Wang.

Your feet will thank you when you don on a pair of low-heeled shoes by Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton.

Frilly dresses by Givenchy and Gucci are fun and flirty for that summer bash.

London calling: Fashion week produced everything from stripes and biker jackets to neon hues and bare midriffs.

Wear a biker jacket to show you can’t be messed with over a girly dress.

Snakes and reptiles rule from Erdem, Preen and Holy Fulton.

Did we mention stripes? They come in all directions – vertical, horizontal and diagonal.

All white outfits were a top look, and white trenches, the perfect cover.

Think square and “when the bell tolls” in relaxed slouchy coats and dresses.

Why wear one color? When you can go two-tone with Acne and Jonathon Saunders.

Antonio Berardi and Burberry say to shimmer with iridescent fabrics, thigh-high skirt splits and big lace textures.

Salute! Ciao Milan! The motif of the great city in Italy is my favorite – the daisy – on furs, sunglasses and appliquéd to clothes. Turn the hippie symbol to modern trend by Dolce and Gabbana’s celebration of Sicilian holidays.

You will zoom with road mark stripes by Fendi, which made the catwalk like a giant motorway.

How fun – back is the new front! With looks on the runway that flashed unexpected elements, cutout and ruffled backs are super glam right now, along with more white-on-white.

A lot of us aren’t too crazy for matchy-matchy, but they took the stage in solids and prints.

As for shoes, anything goes from flat to kitten-like – Armani’s flat leather slippers to Dolce’s platforms.

If you’re going to a ’70s party or just out to boogie, Versace turned the runway into a disco bash with a rainbow of bright leathers.

So there you have it, my fashion forecast. Time to shine!

Ciao Bella
